Nearly 262 years later (June 2022), scientists from the AlpAlga consortium (A. Amato, J. Ezzedine, L. Gielly, E. Mar\u00e9chal, LPCV and LECA) returned to this massif above Chamonix, facing Mont Blanc, to collect samples and carry out measurements and analyses. It is indeed Sanguina nivaloides.
