| 2025, Oct – 2026, July | ROUGE COMME NEIGE, A MUST-SEE EXHIBITION!

Snow evokes childhood memories, winter, and its sports.
A symbol of today’s environmental challenges, it also reveals the vulnerability of the mountains,
tested by the effects of climate change.

The exhibition ROUGE COMME NEIGE (RED AS SNOW) invites you to explore the many facets of snow — between poetry, science, and ecological reflection.

A unique event!

This is the first exhibition ever devoted to the microorganisms that inhabit snow!
Historical documents and instruments, educational models, and laboratory equipment are displayed to let visitors follow the scientists’ investigation step by step.

For everyone — come and explore!

Co-produced by the City of Grenoble through its Museum of Natural History, the CNRS, Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA), and Météo-France, the exhibition Red as Snow showcases the scientific work of the ALPALGA project, dedicated to exploring the microscopic life that inhabits high-altitude snow.
